The 67th Arts Festival returns to Second Parish in Hingham May 2-May 11. Hours weekdays and Saturdays,10 AM TO 8 PM, Sundays 10 AM to 4 PM. Don’t miss it!
On display and for sale: The work of artists and artisans from the South Shore, Boston, and around New England. Oil and water color paintings, photography and mixed media; one of a kind jewelry, pottery, needle felting and many whimsical objects perfect for gift giving.
Event Schedule
Opening Night & Artist Appreciation: Thursday, May 1st, 5pm-8pm. Enjoy the preview with music, wine & cheese reception, and meet the talented artists
For Children-“Discovering the Artist in You”: Saturday May 3 and Sunday, May 4, 12:00pm -3:00pm. Kids are invited to paint on canvas and display their work in a junior exhibition for the duration of the show. All supplies included. Mermaid Hair Sparkles by Jessie and Face Painting by Annie on Sunday, 12pm-3pm (separate vendor fee applies).
Other activities include rock painting for a rock snake on our Serenity Path and a kids art themed scavenger hunt, with prizes, is available every day of the show.
CPE Bach & Haydn Piano Concert: Saturday, May 3, 7-9pm with a cocktail reception to follow. Come for the art show and stay for a classical piano concert with Ira Braus, an accomplished classical pianist and Tanglewood Music Center alumnus.
Hull Firefly Live Storytelling: Friday, May 9th, 6pm-9pm; Cocktail reception followed by live storytelling. This event is similar to The Moth on National Public Radio. The theme is “If Walls Could Talk”. Guests are invited to share stories in a 3-5 minute time period. Some may prepare a story in advance while others may be inspired to share a story in the moment. It is a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Celebrate Mothers Day: Sunday, May 11th, 12pm-4pm. Bring your special person with you and let’s celebrate them with special treats including chocolates, Prosecco and sparkling lemonade. They can even pick out their own gift (gift cards can be made available in advance).
