Hats, fascinators and festive Derby attire is strongly encouraged for all attendees. Early-bird tickets are $50 per person through 4/20. At that time, remaining tickets will be $75 per person until it sells-out.

This year, Pony Up is honored to partner with South Shore Health as the recipient of the event proceeds, specifically the Breast Cancer Center at South Shore Hospital.

“South Shore Health is a cause near to our hearts as we know many people locally that have benefitted from their best in class care,” said Pony Up Founder Alyssa Blowers Scordo, a Hingham native. “This year, the event is especially meaningful as our mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2019 and we have been grateful to have these incredible resources so close to home.”

Funds raised will be allocated to their cancer care program which is one of this health system's greatest strengths and is in clinical affiliation with Dana-Farber and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Their cancer center treats more than 1,000 new patients annually right in the center of Weymouth. We are grateful to have their top-notch providers so close to home and appreciate the opportunity to come together with all you to give back and support their future efforts. Please visit www.southshorehealth.org for more information on this great cause.

The Pony Up committee was founded by Hingham natives Sarah Blowers Melia, Hilary Blowers Jenison, Alyssa Blowers Scordo, and Lois Blowers six years ago as a way to celebrate one of their favorite days of the year – the Kentucky Derby – while giving back to our community.   This year their family is grateful to have Christine Smith and Patty McDonald’s expertise on the planning committee.

If you're interested in sponsorship or donating a silent auction item, please reach out to hilaryjenison@gmail.com.

Whether you are a returning guest or a new one, we hope you will join us on May 4th to Pony Up for a great cause!

  1. This really is one of my favorite days of the year! This year is even more special as our proceeds go toward the very place that gave my mom the best gift of all, the gift of health. So happy to be able to give back and to be able to do so in such a fun way. Come out and celebrate with us all for a good cause! I personally guarantee a fun time!

  3. This is such an amazing event obviously for the cause, but knowing that proceeds are going somewhere so close to home I feel makes it even more special. The event itself from the time you walk in from the time you leave, has everyone saying “What a great time.” The food is always amazing, the raffles always have such a great variety of prizes that entice everyone, the entertainment gets everyone on the dance floor. The simulcast that they have for the race makes you feel like your actually at Churchill Downs! I have to say though one of my most favorite things about this party is the fashion, for all the fashionista’s it’s so fun to see everyone dressed in such beautiful dresses and hats it makes you think “Oh what should I wear next year!”
