Fund will help offer free meals to grocery story workers, medical workers and first responders

Boathouse Bistro, located at 19 Shipyard Drive in the Hingham Shipyard is launching a new program today that will provide free family style meals to first responders, medical personnel as well as grocery store workers.

The restaurant has put a donation button on its take out menu that is available on its website (www.boathousebistrohingham.com) and is asking for customers who are able to help donate into a fund that will be used to identify those who could use a nice, hot free family dinner. Boathouse Bistro will work with area grocery stores, hospitals and Town’s to identify who gets donations.

‘As we navigate through these unprecedented times safety is our utmost concern for our customers and staff,” said Steve and Tinka McCauley, owners of Boathouse Bistro. “Providing an essential service for all our friends in the community, we take our job very serious here at Boathouse Bistro. At the same time, we also realize how blessed we are to have those in the medical community, first responders and those who work in grocery stores and their family also stepping up to help every day.”

For every $25 donation Boathouse Bistro will deliver another meal to those who are working hard to keep us safe. Working together we can make a difference.

To make a donation visit Boathouse Bistro and navigate to their takeout menu. On the take-out menu, select Entrée and then select Medical/First Responder/Grocery Meal Donation.
