The Guesthouse in Downtown Hingham is Closing it’s Doors

July 14, 2020 by Laura Winters

The Guesthouse is closing its doors at 93 South Street.

Owned by local residents Annie Pratt and Heather Schuhwerk, The Guesthouse was started with the goal of introducing shoppers to unique  brands that are not easily accessible. Over the past two years, the storefront has hosted pop-ups for apparel, accessories, home decor, sports apparel, and fine artists in addition to becoming a gathering space for friends and hosting events.

“We enjoyed every minute of our partnership and what we built at The Guesthouse," Schuhwerk and Pratt shared with the Anchor. "The clients and customers we met along the way will remain our friends and colleagues."

In an email sent earlier today, Schuhwerk and Pratt assured shoppers that this is not goodbye, but instead "hello to new adventures."

We cherish the downtown businesses and their continued support and friendship," Schuhwerk and Pratt shared with the Anchor.  "The downtown is the center of this small town and we all need to make sure it remains vibrant.”
