Residents Wake to Find Man Inside Home

A man entered a home overnight while the residents were sleeping. They residents heard noises, called out, and saw a man run out their front door. Their purse was stolen.

On Monday, September 14, 2020 at 3:20am the residents of a home on Leavitt Street were asleep upstairs when they heard noises downstairs. The residents called out “Who’s there?” and then saw a man run out their front door. They noticed their purse, which had been in the kitchen, was missing.

The man fled toward the dead end portion of Leavitt Street which borders Wompatuck State Park. A Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department K9 responded but the man was not located.

The description is a male, unknown race, 5’8”-5’10”, thin build, wearing a long sleeve shirt and long pants. The man entered the home through an unlocked door.
