Hallow Harvest: Making New Memories at Saint Paul School

October 31, 2020 by Christina Olayon-Baker

Saint Paul School students celebrated its first “Hallow Harvest” that included a week of festive activities.

A "Hallow Harvest," indeed! Festive pumpkin patches, from pumpkins supplied by Sauchuk’s Farm, were created by the students in Preschool - Grade 8. These pumpkins are from Grade One's patch!

It started with pumpkins from Sauchuk’s Farm. Each student was given a pumpkin to decorate at home and brought back to display their creative colorful pumpkins for all to enjoy at school.

With much surprise and awe, students entered school through a stunning balloon arch made of orange, black and bats that lifted the spirits of students, teachers and staff including parents at morning drop-off.

Throughout the week, students donated non-perishable foods for the Saint Paul School Annual Fall Food Drive, a tradition over the last 10 years, to support the food pantries located in the South Shore.

Over 1800 (and counting!) food items have been collected for our South Shore food pantries.

The festivities continued with handmade “spooktacular” treats for students by Saint Paul School chef, Mrs. Jennifer Knobloch.

“Spook-tacular” treats made by Saint Paul School chef, Mrs. Jennifer Knobloch, were enjoyed by all students!

To top off the week, students wore their Halloween costumes or orange and black to school on Friday. Afternoon activities were planned with themed music and movies while students received goody bags and Student Council’s first published newsletter to enjoy at home.

Saint Paul School teachers and staff joined the fun, dressing as “the Spice Girls!"
