After a prolonged taste of spring last week, a winter preview arrives this coming week.
Here are three things to know about this week’s weather in Hingham.
1) A Quiet Week
Overall, this will be a quiet week of weather. There are very few rain chances, other than perhaps a quick sprinkle passing by Tuesday as colder air surges into the region.
Otherwise expect a good deal of sun, blended with some puffy fair weather clouds.
2) Cold Mid-Week
Temperatures will be the real story this week.
We’ll start the week a bit above average, near 50 on Monday.
By Tuesday high temperatures will slide into the upper 40s.
Then the bottom really falls out Wednesday and Thursday, as temperatures during the day stay in the 30s to near 40 degrees! Expect lots of 20s during the morning, too, so the kids will need the winter gear heading to the bus stop again.
There will be a gusty breeze for much of this stretch as well, only making it feel even chillier.
3) Late Week Warm Up
The good news is that by the end of the week, and into next weekend, we should get a reprieve.
A shift in wind direction is likely to boost our daytime high temperatures back into the 50s on Friday and Saturday.
