Donovan, Robert Emmett, Jr. of Hingham and Fairhaven, formerly of Cohasset, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the age of 75.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as an E5 Computer Specialist. He attended the University of Hawaii and graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in business management.

He worked for New England Seal Coating Co., Inc. as an employee, owner, and salesman for 40 years.

Bob coached the Hingham Farm Baseball, Little League, Babe Ruth, Pop Warner, Hingham Youth Football, softball and girls and boys basketball teams for over twenty years. When Bob was not coaching, he enjoyed watching many sporting events on television and working in his yard.  He was also an active member of Resurrection Church.

Bob was a loving grandfather, “Pop Pops”, who cherished spending time with his grandchildren, watching them participate in sports was a highlight.

Bob was the devoted husband of 45 years to Leslie J. (Baker) Donovan and was the beloved father of Jennifer L. Beane of Plymouth, Todd E. Donovan and his wife Bernadette of Mill Valley, California and Tyler R. Donovan and his fiancée, Rute Sylveria of Westport. Bob was the proud grandfather of Julia Beane, Chloe Beane, Quinlan Donovan, Bexley Donovan, Briella Donovan and Braxley Donovan. He was the loving brother of Barbara A. Kehoe of Hingham, Betty Jewell of Virginia, William "Bill" Donovan of Florida and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

His Funeral Mass and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's name may be sent to Boston Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115.
