An Evening of Tastings, Wine, Cheese and Chocolate was held Feb. 8 at the Hingham Community Center, with entertainment by Hingham’s own Sean Britt Jazz Trio. A fun time was had by all as they tasted wines from around the globe supplied by Connor Houde of Main Street Market and nibbled on cheese generously donated by local restaurants including Trident, Boat House Bistro, Alma Nove, Square Café, Caffe Tosca, Tosca, Fruit Center, and Trader Joe’s. Sweet tastes of chocolate by Puopolo Candies, Sadie Mae’s and Pour Shun were delectable. Becky Lynch was the winner of the Puopolo’s gift basket that included a generous Bloomy Rind gift certificate. The event was a fundraiser for the Hingham Community Center, a private non-profit organization that receives no funds from the town but relies on donations and revenue from programs. “The support of the community is vital to the future of the HCC,” said Executive Director Mary Ann Blackmur.
