Jersey Mike's Subs is opening at 400 Lincoln St. next to Stop & Shop next Wednesday, May 26.
"It's a concept out of the Jersey Shore -- an old-school shop offering sub sandwiches made fresh to order, sliced meats displayed before the customers, and fresh in-house baked bread every morning," Al Graziano told the Select Board last night.
He appeared before the board last night requesting a common victualler license -- which was granted.
Other Jersey Mike's shops are located in Quincy and Hanover.
One hundred percent of all proceeds on opening day will benefit the Hingham High School Athletic Department, according to Graziano.
"That's terrific," Select Board Chair Mary Power said. "Welcome to town!"
I was just at that Stop&Shop yesterday. No sign of a sub shop coming in. Gym and WW still next to Stop & Shop. Hard to imagine Mike’s appearing in less than a week!
