Nancy Correnti is Proud to Announce her Candidacy for Hingham School Committee

Work picture

Nancy Correnti, or Nes as she is known to friends and family, has been a leader in her children’s schools over the last decade and is proud to announce her candidacy for Hingham School Committee.

Nes has lived in Hingham for 15 years, and her interest in this esteemed position stems from her children’s early years at Wilder Nursery School, where Nes was a board member, as well as her many years on the Plymouth River Elementary School (PRS) PTO where she currently serves as its Treasurer. Coupled with her involvement in many enrichment programs, Nes has a long and proven track record as an advocate for the education and well-being of children in Hingham

As a child growing up in Waltham with a single, working mother, Nes and her siblings spent many afternoons at her local Boys and Girls Club. It was there that Nes learned the value of after-school activities and the connections they helped her form. She also saw that kids who were in danger of falling through the cracks could be helped through these types of programs, which began her passion and dedication to appreciating the social and emotional needs of children.
Nes volunteers much of her time to enrichment programs in Hingham that promote both the physical and social well-being of a child, which she feels better positions them for academic success. She brought BOKS, a nationwide before-school physical activity program, to PRS and serves as the lead trainer.  She also started a running club as part of the PRS after-school activity program, and serves as treasurer of her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop.

Being involved in Hingham schools and activities over the years is only part of what makes Nes a strong candidate for School Committee. Nes’s background as a successful CPA and CFO will allow her to actively engage in the process of reviewing and approving the Hingham Public Schools budgets, as well as many of the other duties that would benefit from her data-driven, analytical mindset. She is also committed to helping successfully transition Dr. Paul Austin into his new role as Superintendent, help find solutions to the Foster School building crisis, and fight to maintain manageable class sizes amid drastic Hingham population growth.

Nes lives in Hingham with her husband, Joe. Nes and Joe have three children, ages 12, 11 and 8 who proudly support their mom for Hingham School Committee. [They hope you will, too!]

On April 27, please consider casting one of your three votes for School Committee for Nancy “Nes” Correnti.   Vote “YES TO NES”
