Joshua Ross has lived in Hingham for over 12 years. He and his wife, Sara, have two children at Hingham Middle School. Joshua received both his BA in Speech Communication and MBA in Finance from Syracuse University. A former financial advisor, he now owns his own business photographing many Hingham families and working regularly with the schools and youth sports programs.

As an active member of the school district, Joshua has served as PTO President of the Middle School for the last two years, co-created and chaired the All-Town PTO forum, chaired the Foster 5th Grade Committee, served as a room parent volunteer, and brought the BOKS program to Hingham when his children attended Foster School. He also participated as one of three PTO representatives in the Hingham Superintendent search process. In addition to volunteering with our schools, Josh has held other leadership positions in town. Most recently he served as chair of the Compressor Station Task Force, as President of the 52nd Class of the Hingham Citizens Police Academy, and as President of the Wompatuck Improvement Association, his neighborhood association.  As a result of his active participation in the community, he has built a very good relationship with both elected town and state officials, as well as many other Hingham community leaders, including the town’s Security Program Committee.

Joshua has attended nearly every Hingham School Committee meeting since July 2018, immersing himself into the process and working as a tireless advocate for the students, families and educators in our district.“We have something really special here in Hingham,” says Josh. “We have exceptional teachers and staff who are truly invested in helping our students succeed. We also have a community that is leaning on our School Administration’s efforts to improve and flourish with a thoughtful and thorough long-term plan. From my experience as a community leader and active school volunteer, I will bring a visionary process that will help Hingham Public Schools with a pathway toward continued success. I’m excited to do my part to help guide our district into the future and respectfully ask for your vote.”
