Holiday book sale --The library will host a holiday book sale in the lobby from Nov. 22 through Dec. 23 (or while supplies last), featuring holiday-themed, children's, and adult books, new and like-new DVDs and CDs, and more -- with new additions daily. This is a great opportunity to find the perfect gifts for friends and family members who are on your holiday shopping list and at great prices. All proceeds benefit the library.
Book groups for kids and teens -- The library offers virtual book groups for children each month. There's one for second- and third-graders and another for kids in fourth and fifth grade. Register online for these Zoom meetings at hinghamlibrary.org. The link will be sent to participants the afternoon of the gathering.
Another book group is offered monthly for teens in grades 6 through 12. Copies of the current book choice are available for pickup at the Children's Desk approximately two weeks before each meeting. No registration is required for this in-person book group held in the Library’s Whiton Room.
The books read by each group are available digitally through Overdrive/Libby, or a hold may be placed on a physical book for pickup at the library.
For more information about upcoming selections or for help accessing a particular book, email hijuv@ocln.org or call the Children's Department at 781-741-1405 ext. 1403.
