The League of Women Voters of Hingham will hold its annual Candidates Night on Wednesday evening, April 10 at Hingham Town Hall, 220 Central Street, Hingham.
Candidates Night offers voters the opportunity to hear candidates for contested races answer questions concerning current issues. Candidates for uncontested offices deliver a prepared speech.
The public is invited to arrive at 6:30 PM, at which time the Moderator will explain the format for the evening; the forum will begin promptly at 7 PM. Voters may submit questions for the candidates of contested offices to the League of Women Voters of Hingham in advance by email (bandcwilk@me.com) or at the event in writing.
There are three contested races in 2019, for Moderator, a seat on the Housing Committee, and three seats on the School Committee. There are seven unopposed candidates for Selectman, Board of Assessors, Board of Health, Municipal Light Board, Planning Board, Sewer Commission, and Recreation Commission.
