The Town of Hingham is pleased to report that it hosted a successful COVID-19 vaccination booster clinic this week.

The clinic, which took place Tuesday, Dec. 28 at the South Shore Baptist Church, provided 120 doses of the Moderna booster to eligible residents age 18 and older. It was put on by the Town of Hingham in cooperation with the Police and Fire Departments and Health Department.

As part of the drive-up clinic, those receiving a booster remained in their vehicles while a member of the Hingham Fire Department administered the shot.

Those receiving the booster were guided to a designated area of the parking lot for medical observation post-vaccination.

"We were very pleased with the efficiency and success of this clinic, and thank those residents who registered to get their booster shot not only for their own safety, but the safety of the entire community," Executive Health Officer Susan Sarni said. "I want to thank the members of the Hingham Police and Fire Departments, Health Department, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and everyone else who made this clinic work, as well as the South Shore Baptist Church for hosting."

The Town plans on offering an additional Moderna booster clinic in January, and additional information will be provided when it becomes available.
