Author Ann Suzedell and Hingham artist Susan Kilmartin, who created the delightful children's book, "Carina, the Carousel Horse at Paragon Park," were featured speakers at a luncheon at Alma Nove hosted by Paul Wahlberg recently. The event was a fundraiser for the program, South Shore Stars, started by his aunt Rosemary.
Love of Literacy is the program's annual fundraiser for Reading is So Exciting. RISE encourages family involvement in their preschooler’s critical development of reading skills, providing training and support to parents and caregivers and creating opportunities to engage in hands-on literacy activities.
