Hingham Crew Winter Wrap-Up, Announce New Coaches

Hingham Crew  wrapped up the Winter Season on March 5th at their Hingham Municipal Light Plant training facility with an erg event and open house.  HHSRA announced the two new head coaches for both the boys' and girls' teams. Congratulations to Olivia Vita, former Captain of Fairfield University's Men's Crew Team, (Boys' Head Coach) and Sydney Blasetti, former D1 rower at Boston University (Girls' Head Coach) - both Hingham Crew alums!

Throughout the day, the athletes took part in 2K testing on the erg and relay events.  Parents also had a chance to take part in a fun 1000 meter race on the erg. The day concluded with a beautiful send-off to Marika Kopp (Program Director and Girls' Head Coach) as she and her financé begin their new life together in Colorado - congratulations Marika and Nick!  Big shout out to our Winter Season training partners at Mass MVMNT, CycleTown, and Krigsman Yoga.  Hingham Crew kicks off their spring season on March 21st.   Mark your calendars, HHSRA will be hosting the Salty Bow Sprint Regatta on April 30th in Bare Cove Park - keep an eye out for details!
