This year's annual 50 Flags campaign kicked off yesterday with the placement of 387 American flags in front of Town Hall. The flags represent the 387 years of Hingham history. This is the 10th year in a row for this project, which helps raise money for the annual July 4th Parade.

Co-chairs of the campaign, Tom Hoffman and Erin McGourty, were joined by Cameron Devine, former Town Clerk Eileen McCracken and her husband Bob, and members of the HHS Track team to place the flags.

100 flags were also placed at the Lincoln Statue Park as well as all the fire stations, HPD Headquarters, and GAR Hall. The flags will remain in place until July 9th.
