Several New England Patriots players and alumni are scheduled to attend including Jake Bailey, Rob Ninkovich, Ronnie Lippett, Patrick Pass, Vernon Crawford, Jon Williams and Chris Sullivan, to name a few, as well as Boston Red Sox alumni including Jim Rice and Manny Delcarmen.
“We are so thrilled to host our annual golf tournament to raise money for those battling cancer throughout New England,” said Joe Andruzzi, Co-Founder and Chief Engagement Officer. “Through generous donations from our presenting sponsor, East Commerce Solutions, Inc., as well as our celebrity guests and players alike, we hope to raise around $350,000 which will help thousands of folks facing food insecurity, household bills, transportation issues and more and allow them to focus on what really matters – getting treatment and becoming well.”
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation helps New Englanders battling cancer through a variety of grants including Household Assistance, Extraordinary Needs, Food Security, Transportation Assistance, (Up)Beat Opportunities and additional resources. In 2020, more than $848,000 was distributed in direct assistance to help 3,174 individuals with financial assistance to pay for housing, transportation, utilities, food, insurance and other household expenses.
“It’s only through the generosity of our donors that the Foundation is able to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our friends and neighbors who are going through so much,” said Jen Andruzzi, President & CEO. “Even through the pandemic, we were able to fund approximately 97% of applicants to our programming and are able to disperse those funds 365 days a year, seven days a week. The need is only growing this year and applications are up more than 65% to date. We are so appreciative of our sponsors and donors.”

About The Joe Andruzzi Foundation
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile, for New England cancer patients and their families by contributing financial support when it is needed most. Founded in 2008 by former New England Patriots three-time Super Bowl Champion offensive guard Joe Andruzzi and his wife Jen, the Joe Andruzzi Foundation grew out of Joe’s own successful battle with cancer and the couple’s ongoing work with young cancer patients. In 2007, Joe’s football career abruptly ended when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Burkitt’s lymphoma. Disease-free less than a year later, Joe and Jen chose to dedicate their lives towards solving the financial distress a cancer diagnosis can cause in the lives of patients and families.
