Four Hingham Rowers Are Headed to Nationals!

Four Hingham rowers have earned spots to compete in the Youth National Championships in Sarasota Florida. The regatta draws competitive rowers racing for medals in 43 events from across the country. These athletes have been training for Nationals on the Charles River with Community Rowing, Inc.

These rowers returned to Barnes Wharf where they began their rowing careers. Three with Hingham Maritime Center and one with Hingham High School Rowing Association.

Henry Quackenbush is a ‘22 graduate of BC High and will compete in the Men’s First Varsity 4+ event. Mason Fairfield is a ‘22 graduate of Hingham High School and will be in the Men’s First Varsity 8 + event. Carolyn Kennedy, a NDA ‘22 graduate, is coxswain for the Women’s First Varsity 8+. Summer Claridge is just finishing 8th grade at Hingham Middle School and will be rowing in the Women’s first Novice 8+ event.
