As we wrap up another successful Little League season, we can't help but think of the song "Glory Days" by Bruce Springsteen, and it makes us wonder how the nearly 800 boys and girls we have in our League will remember their time as a player in this organization. The development and success of Hingham's program over the years have been exponential, the growth of the League is astounding, with kids ranging in age between 5 and 12, and yet, due to our growth, at the end of the season, the divisions would play their games on separate days, on different fields. Given the last couple of years, we've had enough distance. It's time we come together again as a community to celebrate our kids, this town, and the longstanding tradition of baseball.
We are thrilled to announce a first-of-its-kind event: Hingham Little League All-Star Weekend!
Friday, June 17, we knock it out of the park with All-Star Night at The Range in Hingham. Tickets start at $75 per person and include live music, a silent auction, a cash bar, great food, and plenty of HLL Merch. Of course, it wouldn't be a party without a bit of competition, and we encourage attendees to showcase their golf skills while competing in games at the driving range and on the green. Doors open at 6:30 PM.
All-Star Night will also include a Live Auction that you cannot miss! Here's a tease of the line-up:
- Cocktail Handicap at Boston Golf for 3
- Major League Overnight in Boston for 4
- Rosé All Day plus Boats, Bites, and Breathtaking Views for 10
- Hostess with the Mostest Catered Cocktail Party for 15
Saturday, June 18, is our family-friendly event at Carlson Field in Hingham. Current players and families, soon-to-be players, plus Little League alumni are encouraged to cheer on the Hingham's All-Stars and Skills Players, a select group of kids representing their regular season Little League team from the AA, AAA, and Majors Divisions. We'll also celebrate the 12-year-olds final season, HLL High School Scholarship Award recipients, local leaders, and Hingham's 2022 Williamsport Team for the Little League World Series.
The All-Star Games schedule is as follows (all games are at Carlson Field):
- AA Game begins at 9:30 AM
- AAA Game begins at 11:45 AM
- Majors Skills + Homerun Derby will start at 1:45 PM
- Majors Game begins at 2:30 PM
- Majors Farewell Ceremony begins at 4:00 PM
There will be food & activities to entertain the whole family while the All-Star games are playing. So get excited about The Sausage Guy, cotton candy, popcorn, and Cracker Jacks. We're also holding a mini baseball clinic with the Hingham High School Harbormen team, a dunk tank, and more!
