The Trustees of Reservations (The Trustees) partners for the first time with South Shore Conservatory (SSC) and Barrel & Vine to present a very special summer concert on Friday, July 8 from 6:00 – 8:30PM at World’s End in Hingham. Guests are invited to drive up to the top of Planter’s Hill, watch the sun set over incomparable views of the Boston skyline, sip a flight of wine curated by Barrel & Vine of Cohasset, and enjoy a musical program inspired by the wonders of the natural world.
This intimate concert features faculty members of South Shore Conservatory’s Summer Music Festival: Kristen Dye, flute, Anna Bradford, oboe, Peter Bianca, clarinet, Patty Yee, bassoon, and Marina Krickler, horn, and repertoire including Eric Ewazen's energetic Roaring Fork to Amy Beach's reflective Pastorale. The diverse program pairs perfectly with a flight of three unique wines chosen by the experts at Barrel & Vine. Pre-purchase wine flights with the ticket add-on.
Creative picnics encouraged – guests are encouraged to break out their woven baskets, candles, and flowers. A prize will be given for the most photogenic picnic.
The gate opens at 6:00PM with the concert beginning promptly at 7:00PM. Please allow at least 30 minutes to park, walk up the hill, and set up your chairs and picnic.
Tickets are $35 per person, $26 for Trustees Members. Free parking on the hill at World’s End is included in the ticket price. For questions about accessibility, please contact Anne at asmithwhite@thetrustees.org. Wine is available for purchase at the event. A rain date is planned for Sunday, July 10 from 6:30 – 8:30PM.
