In 1702,  Thomas Andrews was given a license to sell “strong waters” at the Old Ordinary at 21 Lincoln St. Fast forward over 300 years to the evening of  October 1st when a lucky group of 60 guests enjoyed a very special Evening at the Old Ordinary. Cocktails, hors’doeuvers and live music were followed by an intimate candlelit dinner served in the first floor rooms of the 1686 house museum. The evening marked 100 years of the Society's stewardship of the Old Ordinary. The Society is grateful to the many local vendors who contributed to the beautiful evening; Kate's Table, The Garden Club of Hingham, RSVP, and musician Tim Curry. Proceeds from the event will benefit the work of the Society and preservation of its properties.
