What looked like a clear runaway by the Harbormen in the first period, turned into a nail-biter with seconds to go in the game.
Hingham took an early 1-0 less than two minutes in on senior Danny Carroll’s goal. A minute later, senior Charlie Packard stuffed one in the bottom corner to make it 2-0 three minutes into the game. Framingham cut it to a one goal lead later in the period, but senior Connor Richardson answered 30 seconds later. The Harbormen would add two more quick goals by Junior Travis Rugg and senior Connor Lasch before Framingham ended the period with a goal making 5-2 after one.
Framingham scored two goals in the second, including a short-handed one, while senior captain Ace Concannon added to Hingham’s total. The third period started with 6-4 lead for the Harbormen. Framingham got within a goal twice at 6-5 and 7-6. The comeback looked promising for the Flyers when they went on the power play with a little over two minutes to go. Hingham’s defense was stellar when it needed to be and senior Aidan Brazel potted the empty netter with .2 seconds left.
If you like goals, this game was for you. Eight different Harbormen scored making it a total team effort.
