Kenyon, Lilla M. (Fleming) of Hingham, died July 3, 2023. The beloved wife of the late Richard Kenyon. Daughter of the late Harold V. Fleming and Mary E. (Carrigan) Fleming. Loving sister of Patricia Fleming of Hull, Maureen Fleming of Hingham, Kathleen (Fleming) Ruiter of Hull, Karen (Fleming) Shea of Hingham and the late Michael Fleming and Mary Jo (Fleming) Hayes – Walden. Lilla is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Lilla grew up in Scituate. She attended Mass College of Art and Boston University. She took a position with AT &T as an Outside Plant Engineer and continued once the company merged with Verizon. On July 3, 1976 she had a bicentennial wedding on George’s Island and it was an outstanding event, one that had an article written about the event in the Patriot Ledger, 47 years later she would pass away on that memorable day. Lilla was a devout catholic and loved her St. Paul Parish in Hingham. She enjoyed sailing and skiing, but most of all she loved to travel, especially to Europe to her beloved France. Lilla will be missed by all those who knew her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 5-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
