Over the past 15 years, the First Baptist Church of Hingham has packed and shipped more than 49,500 pounds of Care Package supplies contributed by Hingham and surrounding communities to our deployed U.S. soldiers. FBC volunteers are currently supporting 21 soldiers and their units throughout the Middle East by shipping Care Packages to that destination. Donations are needed and appreciated.
Do you have a civic, church, or professional group, or a business where you can spread the word? Can you facilitate a donation drive? Can you give a party (perhaps July 4th) where each attendee brings a donation for Care Packages? Could you start a project with a Boy or Girl Scout troop, school or Sunday School class or neighborhood? Are you a traveler who could bring back hotel room toiletries? Could you watch for promotionals such as Buy One Get One Free, use coupons, or check out the half-price buggy in grocery stores? Everything helps and it can be done with such little effort. First Baptist Church ships your donations for you, with no postage expense.
