Throughout the month of December, the Hingham Center for Active Living (formerly called the Senior Center) will host an “Enchanted Center” featuring beautifully decorated rooms created by local businesses and non-profits.
“We are looking forward to giving our members a space filled with the joy of the holidays and the love of their neighbors,” Director of Elder Services Jennifer Young told the Hingham Anchor.
The public is invited to attend an open house on Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 3 to 6 p.m., featuring live music by the Hingham Singers, special guests from the North Pole, games, holiday treats, and more for the entire family to enjoy.
The open house will also be an opportunity to meet the event sponsors and to vote on your favorite decorated room.
Sponsors include Allerton House Hingham, Bridges by Epoch, Harbor Health, PACE, the Hingham Women’s Club and the Kids that Care Committee, the Hingham Singers, Leon Merian Group, Old Colony Hospice, and the Residence at Penniman Hill.
Those who are unable to attend the open house are invited to stop by the Center during the day at 224 Central St. next to Town Hall to experience this holiday delight.
“This is the first of many programs the Center for Active Living will host to bring all of the Hingham community together to show support for our members,” Young said. “This is an opportunity to take a tour of the facility and to see what the vibrant Center for Active Living does for our community.”
