The Town of Hingham is excited to launch MyHingham, a new mobile citizen engagement application.
The My Hingham App aims to enhance communication, streamline service delivery, and foster a sense of community. Through the user-friendly platform, residents can now conveniently connect with their local government, report issues, and stay informed about important updates right from the palm of their hands.
“As Town Administrator, it is my goal to make the Town’s information and services accessible to residents in an efficient manner,” shared Tom Mayo. “MyHingham will enable residents to access information and report service needs in a convenient, streamlined manner.”
Resident communication and citizen engagement is an important priority in Hingham Town government.
The MyHingham App is a critical tool to improve communications in an ever-changing digital environment.
“The MyHingham App is our latest step in modernizing our local town government,” said Select Board Chair Liz Klein. “It will allow our town government to be accessible to residents in an easy and straightforward manner with technology that is already in their hand.”
Residents can stay connected with boards, committees, and town departments. A key feature of the MyHingham App will be service requests directly to the Department of Public Works. “Engagement is an important part of the DPW’s work in Hingham. The new technology allows residents to contact our department in a convenient fast manner about issues like potholes, waste, overgrown vegetation, and any other issue handled by the DPW,” said Randy Sylvester, DPW Superintendent. “The new app will streamline our services and enable the DPW to serve Hingham residents in a more efficient manner.” To download the free app, go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search “MyHingham” to find the app.
