It’s a Shore Thing: Tuesday Plein Air Painter’s Group
The public is invited to join the artists for a reception on Thursday, April 11 from 5:30- 7:30.
The Tuesday Plein Air Painters are a group of 14 South Shore artists dedicated to painting from life and capturing on location the unique quality of light present at the moment they are painting, which can change rapidly due to weather conditions, time of day or the shifting of shadows. On any given Tuesday morning, the artists can be found, gathering together with painting gear in hand, at the harbors, coves, marshes and beaches on the South Shore, Cape Cod and beyond, using their painting medium of choice to capture the inspiration and beauty of the landscape.
The artists exhibiting include Joreen Benbenek, Denise Byrnes Graham, Betty Rogers, Nancy Sargent Howell, Betty Edwards Tufankjian, Teri Hensick, Jeanne MacFarland, Linda Mehl Bornstein, Marguerite Moore, Margaret Farrell Bruno, Cindy McEachern, Tina Watson, Mary Jo Wildes and Sally Dean. The show is sponsored by the North River Arts Society.
