The Hingham Farmers Market (HFM) opens its 2024 summer session this Saturday on the Station Street parking lot, 95 Station St. Hours are: 9am-1pm, rain or shine.

Winner, again, of the 2023 Patriot Ledger’s Community Choice Awards as “Best Farmers Market,” the HFM will again be filled with all its popular vendors. Patrons can stock up on everything from early season produce, beef, poultry and seafood to artisanal breads, small batch coffee and local honey.

Old friends like Freitas, Aeonian, Teal and Stargazer Hollow Farms for produce; Copicut and River Rock Farms for poultry, beef, lamb and pork; and Jordan Brothers Seafood will all be back. Hingham’s own McGuire’s Mushrooms returns along with Pain D’Avignon and Steel & Rye offering artisanal breads and baked goods. To Dine For, Lara’s Cuisine, Hale Bone Broth, Spoon, Pies by Moira and many others round out the market’s rich array of prepared foods.

The HFM offers USDA’s SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) program for all eligible products, and Aeonian farm offers Massachusetts’ HIP (Healthy Incentives Program) benefits. SNAP transactions are generously supplemented by grants from The Fruit Center Marketplace, Hingham Institution for Savings and Zona Salons. Eligible customers may receive up to $10 per weekly SNAP transaction for use at the market. Volunteers from the Friends of the Hingham Farmers Market administer the SNAP program at the administration booth located at the market’s entrance. The HFM is grateful for the continuing support of three of Hingham’s most recognizable businesses.
