May 28, 2024 By The Trustees of Reservations
The Trustees of Reservations presents members of the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra performing Carnival of the Animals at Weir River Farm, followed by an opportunity to get to know the instruments and the animals at the farm!
This family-friendly, outdoor concert provides a fun, relaxed opportunity to enjoy live music and learn about orchestral instruments – including the harp, cello, flute, keyboard and more! Don’t miss your chance to see these and other instruments up close at our Instrument Petting Zoo, with instructors from South Shore Conservatory.
And, of course, no visit to the farm is complete without time in the barnyard. Meet the flocks of sheep, goats, and chickens, see Radish and Turnip, the giant Flemish rabbits, and say hello to the friendly piglets Primrose and Petunia.
We hope to see many South Shore families as we enjoy music and animals at Weir River Farm. Please bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, June 9, 2PM. The Performances of ASO’s Musicians are Supported by Distinctive Pergolas, based in Braintree, serving all of MA, NH, RI and ME. See distinctivepergolas.com.
This concert is generously supported by a grant from the Hingham Cultural Council.
