The South Shore Art Festival started with a bang on Thursday night at the Festival Preview Party which raised over $150,000 for the South Shore Art Center. 250 guests enjoyed a first glimpse at showcased art by contemporary and emerging artists who have expanded the creative landscape in Boston and beyond. Five of the showcased artists attended the party and spoke about their work. The South Shore Art Center celebrated this collection and highlighted “the causal link between work showcased and the work SSAC does to launch the next generation of contemporary and emerging artists.”

The captivating artistic display was complimented by gorgeous decor, music by the Smoking Jackets and DJ Melissa Trainor and culinary delights and beverages provided by local hospitality partners. A much anticipated bidding war for dinner with Steve and Nancy Carell did not disappoint and was “so much fun”. Tracy Windham and Kaly Molnar co-chaired the event with Katy sharing that the “South Shore Art Center’s preview party was a magical night. It was amazing to see Newbury Street’s art scene mingle seamlessly with the laidback coast charm of the Cohasset common. But the event wasn’t just a great party, it was also an amazing opportunity to support SSAC. Proceeds from the event directly fund essential arts classes and programs, ensuring the south shore community has access to top notch creative exploration and development. The event’s success is a testament to the outpouring of support from the community.”
