Sandra Lee (vonVelsen) Cleary,81, of Hingham, formerly of Michigan, on Sunday, July 7, 2024. Beloved wife of 59 years of James E. Cleary. Born in New York, Sandra was a professor at Bridgewater State College. Raised in Michigan, She was a graduate of Wayne State College, Detroit, MI and earned her Masters from Bridgewater State College. In addition to her husband, she was the loving mother of Jason W. Cleary and Sarah E. Cleary, both of Hingham. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Eunice (Anderson) vonVelsen and was preceded in death by her twin sister, Carole vonVelsen. She is survived by many extended family member throughout the country. A Memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
