Hingham Jewelers received national recognition this week, being named one of America’s “coolest” jewelry stores by INSTORE Magazine and its panel of expert judges.
An interactive design studio, allowing guests to easily mix-and-match stones and styles while dreaming up their perfect ring, is a focal point of what judges call an “inviting, bright, and light interior design” that “beautifully combines a modern aesthetic with coastal comfort.”
Hingham Jewelers is one of only six jewelry stores in the nation to win this prestigious award.
In addition to an elegant showroom, carefully redesigned last year to celebrate 75 years in business, judges raved about a commitment to education, and “exceptional service.”
“Winning a national award like this, after being evaluated by experts in their field, validates our daily mission,” third-generation owner Michael Page says. “Our team works tirelessly to educate our guests, and make them feel like family. Service is our top priority.”
Earlier this summer, Hingham Jewelers was also named the “Best of the South Shore” by readers of South Shore Home, Life, and Style Magazine.
“As Hingham’s first jewelry store, we feel deeply connected to our community. We know people make a choice to support us. They could shop online, or with a big box store, but they choose us. And we don’t take that for granted. We pride ourselves on giving back—whether it’s through supporting the schools and youth sports, or charitable causes important to our clients,” Michael added.
Hingham Jewelers was founded in 1948 by Angelo and Helen Manjos; Angelo developed an interest in watchmaking while serving in World War II.
The business burned to the ground in 1988, following a massive fire in Hingham Square.
Nearing retirement, and facing the daunting task of rebuilding, Angelo and Helen passed control of the business to daughter Stacey.
She oversaw the growth of the business as it moved to South Hingham, eventually with the help of husband David.
“We are incredibly fortunate to be part of our clients’ most precious moments: engagements, weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries. It’s even more special to be part of those celebrations for multiple generations,” Stacey said.
Michael now continues the legacy established by his parents and grandparents, rejoining the business full-time as the Head of Business Development in 2020.
