Nestled in Hingham Center, Thacher & Spring Kids is a new shop created by Stephanie Greenstein, owner of Thacher & Spring Home. Stephanie recently relocated her home décor (and more!) store to a brand new space now located in Downtown Hingham located at 109 North Street and has since reimagined her prior Hingham Center location into a beautiful children’s shop. Thacher & Spring Kids, is a thoughtfully curated children’s boutique, which reflects Greenstein’s passion for quality, unique finds, and community spirit.

The Inspiration Behind the Shop
The team at Thacher & Spring Kids initially tested the waters by offering a small selection of baby items at their main store. When customers responded with enthusiasm, Greenstein saw an opportunity to go further. “Our customers were really enjoying our curated baby collection, and as we dove deeper into the kids’ market, we were blown away by the amazing brands out there,” Greenstein shares. “Seeing the excitement from our customers really gave us the motivation to expand.” Inspired by this feedback, they opened the standalone children’s store in her Hingham Center space, aiming to bring a unique collection of high-quality items to the Hingham community.

Curating a Unique Shopping Experience
One of the joys of opening Thacher & Spring Kids has been the buying process itself. Traveling to shows and discovering under-the-radar brands has allowed the shop to bring a fresh perspective to the local kids’ retail scene. “Finding new brands & makers has been the biggest thrill,” Greenstein says. “It’s been a very different experience from buying for our other stores, and with that comes a lot of excitement.”

Age Range and Shop Favorites
The shop currently caters to newborns up to children aged 6 or 7, with something special for every age. A few standout items include cozy hand-knit sweaters, luxurious pima cotton pajamas, educational books, and custom embroidered tops—all carefully selected to blend comfort, style, and educational value. Each item in the store reflects Greenstein’s commitment to quality and a distinct aesthetic that families are loving.  Shopping in her store *almost* makes me want to have another baby as the selection is just adorable – from children’s faux “golden goose” sneakers to embroidered “Swiftie” sweaters and the most adorable and soft pajamas around – her collection has something for every little one.

Looking Ahead to the Holidays and Beyond
As the holidays approach, Thacher & Spring Kids is preparing for its first festive season with a special focus on convenience for shoppers. The store will offer free gift wrapping, creating a seamless experience for those looking to find the perfect gift. Excitingly, they’re also planning to roll out community-based programs in 2025, promising even more opportunities for local engagement.

Shop Hours and Online Availability
For those interested in visiting, Thacher & Spring Kids is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with special Sunday hours in November and December from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shoppers can also explore the full collection online at www.thacherandspring.com, making it easy to shop both in-store and from home.
