A magical winter wonderland is coming to Hingham as children from throughout the South Shore prepare to take audiences on a journey through the beloved world of Disney’s Frozen Jr. The Hingham Civic Music Theatre production, which features a talented cast of young actors, singers, and dancers, opens Friday, December 6, at Sanborn Auditorium inside Hingham Town Hall.
The production, based on the hit Disney animated film Frozen, tells the story of two sisters, Elsa and Anna, as they navigate love, family, and self-discovery in a world of magic and adventure. The show features beloved songs like “Let It Go,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “For the First Time in Forever.”
The dynamic cast, which ranges in age from 6 to 14, has been rehearsing for months under the experienced direction of Megg Rowan, who also choreographed the show, and the musical direction of theater veterans John and Katie Duff. “These young actors have been working incredibly hard and bring so much energy and passion to the stage,” says Rowan. “It’s wonderful to see our community’s kids come together to create such a non-stop fun, accessible, and memorable experience.”
Performances will be held on Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7, at 6:30 PM, with a matinee Sunday, December 8, at 2:00 PM. Tickets are selling fast, but are still available at HCMT.org. Don’t miss the chance to see these talented kids bring Frozen Jr. to life right here in Hingham!
