Hingham Women's Club is our town's own non-profit organization made up of Hingham women that serves the Hingham and South Shore communities, providing charitable giving, direct community service, and social opportunities for its members. Our vision is to serve our local community, through partnerships, for those in need. The HWC supports families, students, and seniors within the community. Simply stated, we are women giving back to our community.
Festival of Trees (FOT) is an annual event hosted by the Hingham Women’s Club during Christmas in the Square, a Hingham holiday tradition for thousands of residents and South Shore neighbors. On this 17th(!) anniversary of the Festival of Trees, the event is returning to its original “home” at the Hingham Heritage Museum with a free event open to the public on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th, culminating with a ticketed cocktail party, Evergreen Evening, on Saturday night.
The Evergreen Evening promises to be THE event to celebrate the Holidays in Hingham. Join us for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, silent auctions, raffles, music, dancing, and merriment! Tickets can be purchased here:

The historic museum will be adorned with beautifully decorated trees up for silent auction and dozens of raffles, all of which have been donated by individuals, groups, and businesses. The money raised during this two-day event benefits the Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore and the Hingham Women’s Club Scholarship Fund. Last year, this event raised $12,000 for the Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore and $6,000 for the HWC Scholarship Fund.
"The Festival of Trees is an amazing way of celebrating what is most magical during the Holiday season - the spirit of giving. There is no better way to get that feeling of Holiday cheer and further the Hingham Women's Club's mission than to involve our community, friends, and family members in the Festival of Trees to raise money for such an important cause. We are excited to culminate what is our largest annual fundraiser by celebrating at Evergreen Evening on Saturday, December 7th. We hope that our fellow Hingham neighbors and surrounding community will help us to have our most successful Festival of Trees yet!" (HWC Co-President, Caroline MacKenzie)
if people would like to donate to the event, but cannot attend, they can text "evergreen" to 243725" and they will receive a reply text that directs donors to a fundraising page!
The Hingham Women's Club will also support the Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore by participating in it's annual holiday gift giving drive and by helping out at the FOTH's Children's Christmas party. The gift drive benefits families in the surrounding towns that live in shelters or transient housing. Members will provide gifts for recipients who provide a "wish list" which can act as a reference for Hingham Women’s Club members to shop. Many of the HWC members look at this as an opportunity to get their children involved in helping out those members of our community who may find themselves in difficult positions during the Holidays.
