Weir River Farm
Friday, January 3, 2020
6:00pm – 9:00pm
Get off to a good start on your new year’s resolutions at Weir River Farm on Friday, January 3rd. Whether your resolution is to get outside more often, to try new things, to spend more time with friends, to exercise more often or to drink better beer, The Trustees have you covered!
Community members can drop their Christmas trees off at Weir River Farm between December 26 and January 3rd. Trees should be piled at the rear of the parking lot across from 140 Turkey Hill Lane. These trees will be used for a bonfire atop of Turkey Hill and the ash will be used as a soil supplement in our community gardens. Consider giving your tree a useful purpose on the farm!
After leaving your tree, come by for music, Stellwagen Beer, the Mom on the Go food truck and a festive bonfire to start the year off on a high note. Staff will also guide night hikes in Whitney and Thayer Woods. The fire will be lit at 6:15 and night hikes will be offered once the fire is ablaze.
Tickets can be purchased at http://www.thetrustees.org/things-to-do/south-of-boston/event-50189.html or at the event. $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
This event is brand new in 2020, but we hope it’s the start of a fabulous tradition. Come by and get outside on a winter night!
