We’re excited to invite you to an important event dedicated to advocacy and awareness, taking place on November 13th, from 6-8 pm at The Beth Kitchen in the Hingham Shipyard. This gathering marks the launch of a series of events aimed at supporting March Fourth, a nonpartisan advocacy group working to reinstate the federal ban on assault weapons.
Our motivation comes from the tragic reality of mass shootings, including last year’s devastating events in Lewiston and countless others that have impacted communities nationwide. Through March Fourth, we found a path toward meaningful action. This event will shine a light on the often-overlooked statistics and history surrounding assault weapons in the United States. Did you know, for instance, that firearms are the leading cause of death among children in our country? Or that a federal ban on assault weapons—previously in place until it expired in 2004—had significantly improved school safety?
If these issues concern you, joining us on November 13th is a meaningful way to get involved. We’re honored to have one of March Fourth’s co-founders with us to share insights into the organization’s mission, progress, and ways you can support the cause.
Tickets for the event are available here. If you’re unable to attend, we welcome donations as a way to stand in solidarity and help us drive change. Feel free to share this invitation with friends, family, and anyone who may be interested in making a difference. We look forward to seeing you there!
