With the final fall Athlete of the Week presented by College Hype, senior football player Jack Nicholas certainly closed out the season with a bang. Jack and his fellow Harbormen waited for the last game of the year to put up their best defensive game of the year. Even in the 13-10 loss to the Superbowl bound Scituate Sailors on Thanksgiving, they caused four turnovers and had Scituate back on their heels all game long. Jack led the way with two interceptions in the endzone killing two prime scoring chances for the Sailors.
“The best way to describe Jack is he is a football player,” says head coach T.J. Byrne. “He has really good instincts and knows the game really well. It was those instincts and skills that kept us in the game and within striking distance…twice.”
As we roll into the start of winter season today, we congratulate Jack, the rest of the fall Athletes of the Week, and all of the players, coaches, and fans on a great fall season.
