This week’s Athlete of the Week presented by College Hype is finally back at full strength this season. Senior captain Adam Healey made the most of his first full, healthy week back for Hingham boys soccer last week with three goals on Tuesday and two more on Thursday helping the Harbormen keep their winning streak alive.
“It took Adam a few games to get his legs and touch back,” says coach Dave Leahy. “This week was his first week being healthy. He brought skill, intelligence, speed and precision both games this week. On Tuesday, Adam scored a hat trick with his weak foot. He just is playing at another level right now.”
Senior captain Brayden Lawler thinks Healey has been the missing piece to complete their offense.
“Adam was obviously struggling with injuries for most of the start of the season and brought a lot of energy on his return,” says Lawler. “He was a missing piece in our offense and it really started to click after his return as he brought everyone’s level of play up. He is a machine who can score with both feet. His five goals kind of speak for themselves, but I can say he made a lot of good runs and was a very solid finisher.”
Congrats Adam!
