With restrictions eased, theaters from Broadway to Boston to community theaters here on the South Shore are pledging to get productions back on stage by the fall. But exactly what that looks like for audiences and actors is still being figured out.
Ally talks with Broadway actress and South Shore native Mary Callanan on what the loss of performance has been for her and how she feels about getting back on stage in a crowded theater.
Ally also sits down with Zoe Bradford, co-founder of Norwell's Company Theatre who shares the pain of this last year plus, but also the resiliency of the theater community and how they have pivoted to rise to the challenge of connecting with audiences. Bradford shares details of a new performance space at Company Theatre and when they’ll be back to full scale with indoor shows.
