Bikes Not Bombs Bike Drive - Bicycle Parts and Gear Too

Sunday, November 7 from 10 am – 2 pm

Old Ship Parish House, 107 Main Street, Hingham, MA

Do you have a bicycle you have outgrown, or random parts and gear from bikes past?

The Old Ship Church Youth Group is hosting a regional donation location for the terrific
Boston-based organization, Bikes Not Bombs, for local and world-wide impact. Donate
your used bikes and/or bike parts, tools and cycling accessories (ie., helmets, lights,
pumps, locks) to Bikes not Bombs, who will put them all to great use.

“Bikes Not Bombs uses the bicycle as a vehicle for social change. We reclaim
thousands of bicycles each year. We create local and global programs that provide skill
development, jobs, and sustainable transportation. Our programs mobilize youth and
adults to be leaders in community transformation.”

Visit their website at bikesnotbombs.org to learn more about what they do with the
approximately 5,000 bikes they gather each year. Your bike could be going to Africa or
the Caribbean, or it could help a family right here in Boston.

Drop your bikes and gear off at Old Ship Parish House in Hingham Square on Sunday,
November 7 between 10 and 2. The Old Ship Youth Group has hosted bike drives for
over a decade. Please spread the word to your neighbors and friends who might also
want to give their bikes new life!
