Hingham High School's Boys Golf team finished an impressive 10-1 regualr season with a disappointing loss in the Patriot League championship against Scituate on Tuesday.  The Harbormen are coming off last year's undefeated regular season and shared championship with the Sailors.

On a cold and blustery day, the Harbormen came up short by 8 strokes against a very good Scituate team.  The playoff match, played at Pembroke Country Club, was 18 holes, unlike the regular season matches which are only 9 holes.  Given the fact there was no school on Tuesday due to Election Day, the match was played during the day.

"(It) was a tough day," says Head Coach Dan Clune. "I think everyone was disappointed in their scores, but that's golf. Our seventh player, James "JD" Flynn, was our low man.  We had a great season, finishing 10-2 and capturing the Keenan Division crown.  Our only loss came from our arch nemesis Duxbury by 2 strokes."

Coach Clune goes on to say "we are going to miss our seniors, Captain Jake Wilson, John Sherwood, and Gus Strachan.  They have been with me for my 4 years of being the head coach.  We have been very successful in those for years and their leadership and the way they acted.  They will be missed and wish them well."
