Bravo to Foster Talent Show Participants!

On Saturday evening, March 30th, over 80 students representing K through 5 took the Hingham High stage by storm at Foster’s third annual Talent Show.  30 acts included everything from solo and group dances to instrumentalists, vocalists, and even hula hoopers!

The show opened with a video, produced by HHS Junior Duncan Bonnell, featuring the debut of the 5th grade emcee team and concluded with a behind-the-scenes slideshow showcasing the students’ hard work from auditions through the dress rehearsal.  Drawing a record crowd of over 400 family and friends, faculty, school administrators and school committee members, Foster students did not grow shy in the well-attended spotlight – they lit up the stage to a packed auditorium!  All proceeds after expenses will support the Music and Art departments at Foster School.

The Talent Show Team would like to especially thank Dr. Wilcox, Mrs. Newell, Courtney Stevenson, Carolyn Bixby, the Foster PTO and Foster School, Monica Black, Larry Babcock, Dr. Joseph Young, Anita Levy-Sisk and Hingham High School, piano accompanist Jessie Cheung, HPD, and the many, many parent volunteers without whom the event simply wouldn’t be possible.  The Talent Show Team, Vanessa Hsu, Sarah Melia, Alyssa Mercer and Elena Olin, said that they are very proud and privileged to provide this unique opportunity for student performers, and that they were truly blown away this year by all the talent, hard work and most of all, enthusiasm in cheering on their classmates!

If you’d like to see the show for yourself, it was recorded by Harbor Media (formerly HCAM) and will air on their channel soon. Bravo to some of Foster’s Finest!
