When a team wins 5 Super Bowls in six years and complies a record of 53-5 during that span, the players and coaches all know what it takes to be a champion. They also know to act like champions off the field.

Two weeks after beating Natick on their home turf 24-6 to win the Baystate Youth Football League 8th grade Super Bowl, the boys, their coaches and dads joined forces to provide community service.

When it was brought to the team’s attention there was a Hingham widow needing a massive yard cleanup, many of the team’s players (the ones that did not have sports conflicts) joined forces to clear the widow’s yard.

The over two dozen players, coaches and dads worked for almost two hours before enjoying hot chocolate served by the appreciative homeowner.

And a big shout out goes to Winston Southworth of Southworth Landscaping who volunteered to remove the leaves with his truck and leaf vacuum.

Once the project was complete, may of the players hustled off to Derby Academy to compete in the 8th grade John Barker Basketball Program. Others went off to hockey and indoor baseball, but none admitted to heading to the Hingham Public Library on a Saturday!
