Chel Bella, a popular women's clothing boutique located in Hingham Square, will reopen in the fall of 2020. Chel Bella was purchased in the spring by Lisa Lennon, a resident of Cohasset.
Chel Bella was previously owned by mother and daughter duo Karen and Christina Reale. They decided not to renew their lease due to economic conditions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Chel Bella has been an anchor in Hingham Square for over 15 years. I’m honored and thrilled to be able to continue this boutique’s legacy. We want Chel Bella to feel like a place for all our clients to come home to, especially after life has changed so much over the past few months. We look forward to seeing our customers and share our new assortment,” stated Lennon.
In anticipation of the store’s reopening, Chel Bella is keeping customers updated through their Instagram page @Chelbellastyle. Every Monday, outfits of the week will be posted that are available for purchase. “We now offer an integrated checkout experience via Instagram, giving our customer the ability to conveniently shop while we get the store ready,” added Lennon.
Chel Bella plans to make a few changes. “Our goal is to stay with our tried and true, while also offering a more casual, yet fashion-forward selection. We will be bringing in some new designers that Chel Bella has never carried before, along with expanding our collection to include accessories such as belts, hats and shoes in 2021 to deliver a complete wardrobe experience,” stated Lennon.
Some of the top brands Chel Bella carries, include L’Agence, MISA Los Angeles, Ulla Johnson, Rails, AG Jeans and Moussy Vintage.
Heidi Whippen, a senior stylist at Chel Bella for the last five years, will be staying with the boutique. “We are evolving with the times and are committed to providing the best experience possible,” stated Whippen. Lennon added, “As a former customer, I always enjoyed the personal service Heidi provided. I am very happy to have her stay on as one of our main stylists as well as contribute to the seasonal buying decisions. Having her fashion sense and personality represented in the offerings brings tremendous value.”
As Chel Bella prepares to reopen in fall 2020, Lennon states, “I’m eager to get the store up and running and share my love of fashion with the local communities!”
