Spring is in the air!
The community is invited to participate in two fun-filled South Shore Country Club events in one day, Saturday, March 29 — Volunteer Day to help get the golf course ready for Spring, and Kite Day — an annual family event featuring a surprise visit by the Easter Bunny — as part of “Spring Ahead Day.”
Volunteers will perform light clean-up duties to help spruce up the course in anticipation of the April 1 opening day, from 8 to 11 a.m. Participating students will earn community service hour credits. Bring gloves and a rake! Coffee and donuts will be served. Sign up details are below.
Following the cleanup, there will be an exciting opportunity for kids to fly a kite with the Easter Bunny from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. No kite? For a small donation to the Friends of the South Shore Country Club, kites will be available on site. Registration is not required for this event.
Ironwood, SSCC’s new restaurant and banquet facility, will provide popcorn and refreshments.
