“Dead Whisper” – based on the screenplay co-written by former Hingham resident Colin Charles Dale and Conor Soucy –- will play at Patriot Cinemas’ Loring Hall Theatre July 11 and 12 at 9 p.m.

The film tells the chilling story of Elliot Campbell, a Cape Cod lawyer drawn to a mysterious island where he faces the haunting possibility of reuniting with his deceased daughter, all set against a retro Massachusetts backdrop.

Directed by Soucy and captured by cinematographer Ben Grant, “Dead Whisper” features breakout actor Samuel Dunning from Brunswick, Maine. The film’s ensemble includes Rob Evan, marking his cinematic debut following established Broadway roles in “Les Misérables” and “Jekyll & Hyde.” Additional performances by Tana Sirois, Samantha Hill, Codey Gillum, Chris Goodwin, Dhane Ross, Hester Wilkinson, and Bruce Winant add depth to the film’s complex narrative.

A private screening of Dale’s creation “Magnolia Flowers” was featured at Loring Hall in July 2021.
