The Boston Classical Guitar Society will present "John Muratore: Christmas Music for Guitar" on Sunday, Dec. 12, at 3 p.m. in the Whiton Room.
This annual event is a highlight of the holiday season. His “Noël: A Classical Guitar Christmas” was named one of the top-selling holiday-classical albums of 2012 by CD Baby. The CD is a collection of new and traditional arrangements of carols, hymns, and folk music for solo guitar that spans six centuries of musical tradition.
Muratore, who is a member of the Boston University School of Music faculty, performs regularly as a solo recitalist, concerto soloist, and chamber musician and has appeared extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Russia. He has collaborated with numerous chamber ensembles -- including Emmanuel Music, the Spectrum Singers, Chorus Pro Musica, and Counterpoint.
The Hingham Library and the Boston Classical Guitar Society gratefully acknowledge the support of Coastal Heritage Bank for this season's concert series. Reservations are not
required.
